What's the latest T68 software version?

If I buy a unlocked iphone or another sim based phone off of Ebay and I also buy a new sim card can I then make phone calls? Will everything else work the same like my games, music, apps or do I have to save everything and then flash the phone? I don't have an Apple account so I'm hoping everything works out ok.
